The Primary That Wouldn't End
I am really excited that Oregon chose Obama. The Tuesday elections went exactly as predicted. And yet, I still feel disappointed. For some reason I thought there would be a resolution. I knew there wasn't going to be, but it's still exhausting. I can't find anyone that can say with certainty when the nominee has to be decided. How much longer can this possibly last? Clearly it has to be over by November, right? I guess the only real answer is "Not soon enough."

I Got to See Barack Obama!
I just got home from the Barack Obama rally in Portland. It was amazing! I have never attended a political event before. I got an e-mail on Thursday announcing the waterfront rally for today and I decided I had to go for it. It was the perfect day for an outdoor event and everyone was really getting into the spirit. The turn out was huge! The news estimated about 50,000 people would attend. The doors opened at noon and Obama didn't speak until 2:30. I got in line at 10:30 and wasn't even close to the front of the line. It was totally worth it! The whole family was there and he gave a great speech. I am really looking forward to having the democratic nominee chosen. I am ready for change I can believe in. After today I am even more confident that Obama can do it! Hopefully I will be able to post the pictures I took in a couple of days.

Congratulations Whitney!
America's Next Top Model has finally let a big girl win! It's about time there was another plus sized beauty besides Tyra on the show. I was cheering for Whitney from the beginning, but I didn't really think they would let her get to the final four. Once she passed that benchmark I thought it might be possible, but only maybe. I am so happy to say I was wrong. Whitney is a beautiful young woman who I think will be incredibly popular with American girls and women. I can't wait to see how her year as a Cover Girl goes. Good for you Whitney! Thank you for going for it.

Leave Amy Alone
I'm getting close to recording a pathetic tearful plea to leave Amy Winehouse alone. Every week it's something. So she likes to take drugs. Big deal! In case no one has noticed pretty much everyone else does too. Yes, that includes you people that freaked out when Starbucks closed for two hours. Everyone does some kind of drug be it; caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, food, porn etc. I think we have seen enough disgraced politicians and clergy to know that humans are, well, human. It's not like she's a hypocrite like the people I just listed. So, what's the problem? Let's all try to relax a little and give each other a break.

Oy, The View
In case you haven't heard Barbara Walters is a slut. In her new tell all auto biography Audition, Barbara Walters admits to having an affair with a married senator. Of course, the senator is dead so he can't defend himself to the public or his family. How thoughtful of you Babs. With all of the interesting items in this book Star Jones was still able to take an uninteresting part and make it all about her. Oh, Star. You are thin, but now you look like a bobble head doll. If you have something to say write your own book, again. Insert eye roll here.

Fallen Star
It's always sad when no one is surprised by a divorce announcement. Star Jones Reynolds has announced her divorce from husband of three years Al "I'm not gay" Reynolds. As I am sure everyone remembers, three years ago the couple wed in the corporate sponsored wedding of the century.
I used to really like Star when she was on The View. Then she started to get uppity. She would regale the audience with ten page packing lists for her glamorous trips to rich people places. Making it clear to everyone that she was bringing more stuff on her trip then most women own. The last straw was the conspicuous weight loss that she refused to fess up to. I know that celebrities are people too yada, yada, but you can't just over share the good stuff. Of course, people will turn on you just for over sharing in general. Remember that this time Kathy Lee! Anyway, Star told us all about her boob job, but I guess that wasn't personal to her. Hopefully she has learned a lesson from all of this. Good luck Star.
